Alex Coleman
"At Energy Works ATL, we're committed to providing mental health and bodywork support to anyone who needs it, regardless of their ability to pay. Since opening our doors in September 2021, we've made it a priority to serve underserved communities, including the Latinx community, which faces significant barriers to accessing support.
Through Manifesting Wellness, we're collecting resources to expand our services and reach even more people in need. Our goal is to help those who have been affected by trauma heal their mind, body, and spirit. By working together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most."
Karla Montgomery-Ramirez
" I have worked on empowering people for many years, one person at a time; now I want to empower communities and create more humane systems to support them. I am inspired by all the mothers, fathers, grandparents, and young travelers who leave home to create a better future for themselves and their loved ones."
Anne Chance
" I love the grassroots effort that Karla and Alex are developing. As the Latinx community continues to grow in MetroAtlanta, a culturally competent, safe environment to learn effective strategies for wellness is a mandate. I am proud to be a part of this effort and to help bring it into being."

" I was always taught to make a positive impact on those around me, but never knew how I could do this. Fast forward to today, I’ve been fortunate to be on this team to make this positive impact, whether from behind the scenes in a board meeting or interacting with community leaders to communicate the needs of clients. It has been a true honor serving here and I hope to keep spreading the joy that is MW/EWA."
Lindsay Stewart
"My years of experience and research as a social worker never cease to amaze me how important it is to create space for individuals and community members to feel supported and connected. It’s my pleasure and honor to serve as a Manifesting Wellness board member to work alongside an organization whose mission and vision align with my work and values to empower the Metro Atlanta community."
Laura Dias Perdomo
" Hi, I’m Laura Diaz Perdomo, proud Colombian and board member of manifesting wellness. I’ve joined the team because I’ve personally lived through mental health episodes that have required the help of professionals in the mental health field like psychologist, physiatrist and hospitalizations in a mental health clinic. From a young age I have been astonished and curious about the performing arts and audiovisual fields. Studying performing arts in Bogota, Colombia and working as a Stunt Performer and Special effects Coordinator in the Colombian film industry. Having the opportunity to come to the United States to work in film as a SPFX technician and Rigging grip in 2022. In this change of countries, culture and what involves leaving my home country I have longed to find a community of people which I can connect from a cultural perspective like latinos in Atlanta, as well as people that research, engage with the community in mental health and all around aspects of well being. Involving myself with Energy Works ATL and Mind Art in 2023 not only has given me purpose in my professional career to explore and experience how to connect people, utilize the audiovisuals tools to be able to teach and share about mental health. But on a personal level, being able to call my board members friends is essential in the importance of having a community for my own well being and mental health."
Desirèe D'Alessandro
As an Italian-Colombian immigrant, my journey to the US three years ago has been transformative. My optimistic outlook and creative spirit have always driven me to seek improvement, fueled by the belief that with the right guidance, we can overcome any obstacle. However, navigating life as an immigrant has presented unique challenges - from language barriers to cultural adaptation.
My experiences, including living in Chile, have taught me the value of finding a supportive community that shares my values. These safe spaces allow us to express ourselves without fear of judgment, fostering growth, learning, and knowledge sharing. I'm passionate about empowering younger generations.
I strongly believe in the power of manifesting wellness through community building, self-empowerment, and creative expression. By providing tools and resources, we can unlock our full potential. What resonates with me most is the love, art, creativity, and passion that drive our efforts.
My hope is that this organization becomes a beacon of resilience and support, where individuals can find solace, connection, and empowerment.
