Programming

Description of the Role

The Programming Committee designs and oversees the delivery of initiatives that promote physical, mental, spiritual, and community well-being within Georgia's Latino population. Guided by our mission to improve mental health outcomes and empower individuals and families, the committee develops, evaluates, and oversees evidence-based and trauma-informed programs and services.

Our approach integrates the biopsychosocial model with a two-generation focus, ensuring that the needs of both individuals and families are addressed holistically. The committee prioritizes community engagement through culturally relevant and creative modalities, such as art therapy, mindfulness practices, and bodywork services. In addition, it coordinates classes, workshops, and events designed to foster resilience, enhance self-awareness, and build supportive networks.

Members of the Programming Committee collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders to ensure programs are accessible, effective, and aligned with the organization's values. They also monitor emerging trends and needs within the Latino community to guide program development and innovation. This dedicated team ensures our services remain impactful and responsive, promoting lasting well-being for generations to come.
